The Sewing Craze?!

For these couple of weeks I've been sewing a lot of things.
These are some of them.

Summer jacket

Having said that I did not feel like sewing, I had to,
since I had got the homework to sew a jacket.

The design was not that good for kimono cloth;
this design needs much wider cloth than kimono.
So, you must be skilled in matching patterns when you
have some cloth with patterns.

I had got a haori silk cloth which I had firstly planned to
make a long waistcoat. The cloth is with no patterns.
So all I had to do was to make it wide enought to
cut and sew.

This is what I've got after struggling for a few days.

Setting them right---alright!?

At the end of last month I thought I was done
with the two unlined waistcoats.

But they never looked alright.
Why? Because they were supposed to have tails on the back!
So I've set them right by spllitting the back into tails!?
Here they are!

I firstly planned to have violets embroidered, but I've got
forget-me-nots instead!?

At last I completed the coat of the Butterflies in the Golden Dream.

At the advice of my Finnish friend I could manage to finish the coat
last night; he told me to use silk thread for the silk material.
It worked out!

I need to attend some more on the back of the cloth, but
that would not annoy nor bother me at all, compared with
the struggles I had to go through.
Though I cut out the cloth using the pattern I had made,
the sil material is rather a litlle thick and it has needed
a little more extra under the sleevearms.
As long as synthetic cloth is concerned, it goes without
minding how the back cloth affects the front sides.

You might see the difference in the details too.

Two more bags

I've made two more bags.
d0112879_1111276.jpg

This is the latest; I started making the before yesterday and
finished sewing last night.
The back looks like:

This had been left unfinished quite a while.
I finisehd it the day before yesterday before I planned
to make the read bag above.
I took the photo of the other side of this bag; there are wrinkles
and I'll have to iron them out.

Another summer coat

Have just finished making another summer coat.

When you only take a look at the torso part,
it might remind you of a clerk who is a hardworker,
nibbing the stem of his pencil, as he recurs in
comic books!?

Summer Waistcoats

d0112879_22581044.jpg
After shipping the clothes to the mixi friends who wanted the dresses,
tunics and T-shirts, I kept myself busy trying to make summer waistcoats.

Here are the two waistcoats I've made.

This is the iron stand I've bought.

I used to think I would not buy an iron stand,
for my place is not spacious at all.
I had to, however, realize that I needed one
in order to iron unfolded kimono materials.

The other day I saw on TV an anime.
It was about a boy and his room---four and a half mats
room---where the hero sees the sea of clutters
and yet he finds chaosmos.

I came across a friend of mine.
I told him I had to tidy my place.
He said the same thing.
He also told me about his friend, who needed a ladder
to go over some great cluttered piles?!
Another friend of his had to buy a new kit of tools,
for he could not find it midst of the mess?!
